It works as a one-for-one natural sweetener in nutrition bars, confectionery, industrial pastry and clean-label formulations, bringing moisture and body along with the sweetness.
Typical values per 100 g: energy 1,400 kJ / 330 kcal · fat 0.5 g (of which saturates 0 g) · carbohydrate 75 g (of which sugars 63 g) · fibre 8 g · protein 2.5 g · salt 0.001 g. Ingredients: dates, nothing else. Store away from heat and humidity.
